About me
Kendrah Winters-Pearson, EdD, is the Executive Director of Technical Programs for the Kentucky Community & Technical College System, where she supports the technical program curriculum committees, credit for prior learning, and work-based learning. Her doctoral degree is in Career and Technical Education from the University of Wisconsin–Stout. Her previous coursework included Post-Secondary, Technical, and Adult Education graduate work.
With almost 20 years in higher education, she has had many roles, from advising nontraditional students to Director of Prior Learning Assessment with 2 MN State 2-year colleges, Senior Academic Associate for CPL at Capella University, and her new role in Kentucky. She is also an independent consultant and has consulted for the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL).
As a first-generation, nontraditional community college student from a blue-collar family, she understands the importance of technical education. Kendrah has a passion for credit for prior learning, working with nontraditional and military-associated students, and career and technical education.
She enjoys brewing beer with her husband in her free time, spoiling her animals, reading, and traveling with her adult children and their partners.
